The Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Greece on a Visit “ad Limina Apostolorum”

26 November 2024

On the afternoon of November 26, the bishops of Greece arrived at the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

During the visit, the topic of liturgical practice in Greece was discussed, which is significantly influenced by the coexistence of various traditions: Latin, Byzantine, Chaldean, and Armenian. This variety, which is also a source of richness, is further enhanced by the substantial presence of faithful from different nations. In this context, the translation and publication of liturgical books in Greek are particularly important, as is the availability of translations in other languages for the ethnic minorities in the country. The conversation also addressed the academic study of the liturgy and the ongoing formation of all ministers and lay faithful.
