Ad Limina Visit of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Bishops

On Tuesday, 7 May 2024, the Bishops of Bosnia and Herzegovina, present in the Vatican for the ad limina Apostolorum visit, were received in the offices of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.

The meeting with the five bishops of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian Bishops' Conference focused mainly on the sensitive topics of the liturgical calendar and the translation of liturgical texts.

During the visit, the Bishops discussed in depth the management and organisation of religious rites and celebrations within their dioceses, with the aim of ensuring consistency and uniformity in liturgical practice.

Finally, they examined and discussed strategies to improve the understanding and adaptation of liturgical texts to the varied cultural and linguistic context of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
