Ad Limina Visit of the Episcopal Conference of Puerto Rico

On 22 January 2026, the Bishops of the Puerto Rican Episcopal Conference were received at the Dicastery for their "ad limina Apostolorum" visit. During the meeting, the state of liturgical life in the local Churches of Puerto Rico was presented. Subsequently, the dialogue focused on the modus celebrandi of certain lay and ecclesial groups, on the importance of the proper celebration of the Mass broadcast via television and the internet, on the process of translating liturgical books, and on liturgical formation as a remedy against the dangers of ideological exploitation and against an inadequate understanding of the Second Vatican Council.
