Plenary Assembly of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments

The work of the Plenary Assembly of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments took place from Tuesday 6 to Friday 9 February. The title of the conference was: "Euntes parate nobis Pascha (Lk 22:8). Pathways of liturgical formation for ordained ministers and lay faithful'. The aim was to translate the indications given by Pope Francis in his Apostolic Letter Desiderio desideravi into concrete formation paths. 

Presentations covered topics ranging from the historical evolution of liturgical formation to concrete experiences, emphasizing the vital link between liturgy, faith, and community. Key themes included the need to revitalize liturgical education, the role of the Eucharistic celebration in encountering the mysteries of faith, and the importance of fostering spiritual depth and communal discernment.

Reflection in the small groups was very well attended and followed the methodology employed during last synodal assembly. This was an attempt to foster discussions whick would be capable of engendering trye communal discernment.
