The Undersecretaries

His Excellency Msgr. Aurelio García Macías was born on 28 March 1965, in Pollos, Spain. He was ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Valladolid in 1992. He holds a Licentiate in Philosophy from the University of Salamanca and a Doctorate in Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute (Sant’Anselmo), Rome. He was Archdiocesan Delegate for Liturgy and Rector of the Diocesan Seminary. Since 1 September 2015, he has been serving in the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, where he became Head of Office in 2016. On 27 May 2021 Pope Francis appointed him as Undersecretary of the same Dicastery elevating him to the dignity of Bishop and assigning him the titular See of Rotdon.

Msgr. Krzysztof Marcjanowicz was born 24 March 1977, in Krakow, Poland. He was ordained priest for the Archdiocese of Krakow on 8 June 2002. He received his Doctorate in Liturgy from the Pontifical Liturgical Institute (Sant’Anselmo), Rome, on 4 November 2010. In March 2012, he began working as an official of the Dicastery for Evangelization in the section for fundamental issues of evangelization in the world. On 9 Februray 2018, he was appointed as a Pontifical Master of Ceremonies, and on 31 January 2023, Pope Francis appointed him as an Undersecretary of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
